AUDITION NOTICE – WAR OF THE WORLDS

Wednesday 13 December at 7.30 pm

The PlayShed, Amity Street, New Farm

Nash Theatre is holding auditions for our annual radio play, Lux Radio Theatre’s The War Of The Worlds. Not to be confused with the notorious panic broadcast of the 1930s, this version from the 1950s more closely follows the movie and features big, bold characters, a lot of special effects and a rollicking pace. There will be a yet-to-be-revealed short ten-fifteen minute audio play to open the evening before the main event of War Of The Worlds.Auditions will be a cold read with the script, though performers who struggle with cold reads can bring something pre-prepared that showcases their vocal talents.

Can anyone audition?

We hold open auditions for all roles and welcome both returning “Nashies” and newcomers of all levels of experience. To accept a role you must become a Nash member.  This is required by our Insurer.

Audition notices appear on this page and in our newsletter Nash Notes. To avoid missing out simply check this page regularly, or join the Nash Theatre mailing list. We respect your privacy.
